I am really excited about presenting at the DFI-CSCE 18th Annual Geotechnical Seminar: State of the Art in Performance Monitoring and Computer Applications in Geotechnical Engineering.

Four Points by Sheraton, Meriden, CT

This annual geotechnical seminar is presented jointly by DFI and Connecticut Society of Civil Engineers geotechnical committee. We use computers and technology every day in engineering practice. Six industry leaders/experts will discuss numerical modeling and interpreting results with a focus on applications including: slope stability, support of excavations, monitoring, seismic engineering, ground improvement, and geotechnical construction. About 6 New York State PDHs are typically awarded.

The future of support of excavation software

Deep Excavation at DFI/ADSC Micropile & Anchored Earth Retention Design and Construction Seminar, September 15, 2015 - September 16, 2015, Saddle Brook Marriott, Saddle Brook, NJ

We will be showcasing the new features of the upcoming 2016 version of our deep excavation software DeepEX.

The primary goal of this course is to provide the target audience with guidance on when and where it is appropriate to use micropiles, and educate engineers about the state of the practice in the design and construction of micropiles. The course covers stepwise procedures for the design of micropiles for structural support and for slope stability applications. Construction, inspection and integrity testing aspects and issues are discussed as well. Classroom presentations include exercises that will lead participants through the technical and cost feasibility aspects of structural support and slope stability design with micropiles. Each participant will receive a workbook and reference manual containing detailed micropile design examples for various applications.
