Frequently Asked Questions:

Pile Cap Analysis: The pile cap analysis considers the non-linear analysis pile response. Users can define any shaped pile cap, and consider soil variation at any point. Interaction effects can be considered with various methods, including user defined p reduction factors.

Pile Raft Analysis: The pile raft analysis builds on the pile cap module by enabling the user to consider the contribution of soil pressures under the pile cap. Non-linear soil springs can be considered. Results have been calibrated against finite element simulations.

How is the pile cap modeled? The pile cap is modeled as a series of plate elements.

How many loads can you specify? Unlimited number of loads.

What type of loads can be included? Axial, moment, lateral, and distributed loads.

Seismic accelerations? Seismic accelerations can be considered on the pile cap weigth.
