For years geotechnical engineers, like ourselves, have wished that they would be able to demonstrate to their clients what their work is all about, now they can. A new day for presentation of underground projects has emerged. You can now have a 3D virtual reality model for your deep excavation ready in under 5 minutes.

Ok, so what is different in 3DEEP? You know that 3D virtual reality programs exist, why create 3DEEP?

While 3D virtual reality programs do exist they are very limited in presenting only what is a nice picture!!! that can only be generated by a graphics artist or a highly skilled and highly paid artist professional.

In this matter 3DEEP when combined with DEEP 2008 is revolutionary. First, you can design your deep excavation quickly in DEEP 2008 and specify all 3D project parameters quickly.

Then pressing a button in DEEP can generate your full model, all stages. Now your model is truly related to everything that you have designed.

When it comes to your survey (topographical) coordinates, simply type in your points, and 3DEEP will automatically generate your 3D surface without you having to mess up with any sort of triangulations.

Say though, that you wanted to modify your 3D model by hand. You can still do that since 3DEEP files are essentially written as statements that can easily be specified with a text editor.
